Stance is the attitude toward your topic. Specifically, this is the attitude toward your topic that you convey within your work. For example, I can write about a topic I disagree with but my stance within my work will not reflect this conflicting opinion. Rather, my work will display a supportive stance towards my topic. Stance is displayed in many ways throughout your work, such as tone.

In this class, we were fortunate in that we got to pick our topics for our assignments, so our stance never conflicted with our work. Rather, we did our work based on our exigence, and this passion showed in our work. I feel very strongly about the environment and the public health crisis, and I feel that it shows greatly in my stances across my work. In particular, I am referring to my memo, my PSA, and my technical proposal.
